Marsha, hopelessly addicted to reading murder mysteries,
overhears her husband discussing her upcoming birthday surprise. To her
ears it sounds like they are planning her murder! With the help of her
next dorr neighbor she tries to turn the tables on them, resulting in

Two brothers meet, after a sixteen
year estrangement, in the attic of the family residence, where the old
furniture is to be disposed of. The first is a policeman who sacrificed
his education to care for his ruined, invalid father; the other an eminent
surgeon who walked out on the family to concentrate on personal success.
The brothers take a little time for amenities and feeling each other out
before the basis of their long alienation and mutual bitterness emerges.
It reveals the characters, including strengths and weaknesses, of the
brothers to each other and themselves. |

A sophisticated New York director with a successful Off-Broadway season under her belt travels to West Virginia to direct Hamlet under the auspices of a grant for 'under-served regions'. Gathering in Hattie's restaurant, this group perpetrates a harrowing production of Shakespeare. Amazing costumes and merru mishaps ladle hilarity on top of sincere attempts to tailor Hamlet to this remarkable cast. The play is the thing, and the result is a fractured, quixotic production that provides a fine example of realizing the impossible dream. |
